As part of efforts to enhance the banking sector’s participation in developing the social housing system, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and the Housing Bank signed a platinum sponsorship agreement with Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain for the second edition of the Innovation in Social Housing Conference and Exhibition.

Her Excellency Ms. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Housing Bank, affirmed that the development of the social housing sector is not limited to the development of housing projects only, but also includes the development of financing tools, services and operational models that make access to housing easier and more efficient.

She said that partnerships with banking institutions are an important element in achieving this goal, given their expertise and capabilities in designing financial solutions that meet the changing needs of citizens.

For his part, Dr. Shadi Zahran, CEO of Kuwait Finance House – Bahrain Group, affirmed that sponsoring the conference reflects the bank’s commitment to contributing to initiatives that support economic and social development in the Kingdom, foremost among them the development of solutions related to housing and quality of life.

He added that innovation in finance, technologies and services has become a key factor in building a more efficient housing system, and that the conference provides an opportunity to develop partnerships that combine banking expertise, government vision and real estate capabilities.

The conference will explore the future of social housing through themes including financing solutions, development partnerships, sustainability, digital transformation and artificial intelligence, and building technologies, along with an accompanying exhibition showcasing the latest housing projects, products and services.
